This month's featured speaker is:
Executive Director of the New Initiative on Government Improvement, and Instructor at the University of Utah Eccles School of Business
Kristen will talk about the Theory of Constraints and how it applies to a range of work processes. (As an aside, I have found the Theory of Constraints to be invaluable in both problem solving and continuous improvement.) Kristen is the world’s leading authority on using the Theory of Constraints in government and non-profit settings. While she was the Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Management and Budget for the State of Utah, she led a 35% improvement across Utah’s $20B executive branch. Prior to that role she led Utah’s Department of Workforce Services through the 2008 / 2009 “great recession” and was able to absorb a 60% increase in case load with her existing staff. In parallel, the department was able to generate $30M in savings for the State of Utah while, at the same time, being in the Top Ten for quality in the United States.
This will be an interesting and compelling presentation. And, to make it even better, the first 85 people who register (and attend) the session will receive a free copy of Kristen’s book. Please block out your calendar and attend this one – the Theory of Constraints just might change your life.
