How to Design and Deliver Consumer Value through Innovation

In this session attendees will learn more about an Innovation Process Model, how that model was developed, and how that model and its elements can help companies innovate more effectively. Todd will cover how Mindset, Theory, Methods, and Toolsets of Innovation play into this and how companies can effectively use these strategies.

Todd Dunn


Todd Dunn is an Innovation Director at Intermountain Healthcare.  He is responsible for advancing innovation in the areas of IT, Clinical Care Delivery, etc.  His unique role includes educating caregivers within Intermountain and external to Intermountain in the practical application of innovation theory, methods and tools to improve the patient and the caregiver’s experience.  Todd serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Utah’s Innovation-Corp on courses including: Lean Startup methods and broad scale innovation programs.  Todd worked with Cisco Systems, Siemens Medical, Mckesson, and GE before joining Intermountain Healthcare.  In his roles he has interacted with hundreds of early stage healthcare companies.  He has led partnerships with Velano Vascular, Tissue Analytics, Ayasdi, etc.  He was a contributor to Alex Osterwalders 2nd book “Value Proposition Design” He is an author, entrepreneur, and speaker on the topics of innovation and “Design for People”, which is part of Clayton Christensen’s book, Competing Against Luck.
