    Building Effective Relationships at Work

Your organization’s most important asset isn’t just your people. It’s what happens between your people—how well they respect and treat each other every day—that creates your organization’s ultimate competitive advantage.

In the keynote based on his best seller book, Get Better: 15 Practices to Building Effective Relationships at Work, FranklinCovey’s Chief People Officer, Todd Davis, shares insights from his 30+ year career observing and coaching people at all levels inside organizations.

Through authentic stories, powerful videos, and applicable job tools, Todd explores common relationship pitfalls that affect careers and results, and shares proven practices that help individuals increase their influence and master the skills of effective relationships at work.

In the keynote, Todd quickly reviews all 15 practices and then takes a deeper dive into 3 or 4 as time allows. The 4 practices he typically covers are:

    1. Wear Glasses That Work — View yourself and others in ways that foster strong relationships.

    2. Behave Your Way to Credibility —Demonstrate the character and competence vital to establishing credibility in the workplace.

    3. Play Your Roles Well — Identify your most important professional and personal roles and the key contribution you hope to make in each one.

    4. Make it Safe to Tell the Truth – Develop the skill to invite and receive feedback effectively, making it safe for others to tell you the truth.

    Our Speaker:

Todd Davis, Chief People Officer and EVP, FranklinCovey

Todd Davis is the author of FranklinCovey’s newest book, Get Better: 15 Proven Practices to Build Effective Relationships at Work, which sold over 30,000 copies in under 100 days and debuted at #4 on the Wall Street Journal Bestseller List.

Davis has over 30 years of experience in human resources, talent development, executive recruiting, sales, and marketing. Two big problems:
    1) How do I progress in my company to greater responsibility and greater pay? This problem is described by Marshall Goldsmith, "What Got You Here Won't Get You There."
    2) How do I deliver more value to the business and make a greater contribution to business results? My leadership competencies are directly related to business results. (See chart below.)

    One big solution:
LDI PLUS is a 3-month learning experiences that provides an assessment of your leadership competencies. What are your strengths, and what needs more development.  This includes individual coaching with an experienced senior level executive to analyze your competencies and help create your development plan. How will this program benefit me?
