FLASH TALKS

AIM Lunch Meeting – Flash Talks!

Please join us on Thursday, November 14th from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. for our annual AIM Flash Talk Fest! This is an opportunity to hear from your IT leader peers as they share the compelling, successful skills and methods they have developed. Our agenda includes:

Employee Impossible – Tools of the Trade to Re-engage Lost Employees. Aaron Bently, CIO of Salt Lake County. About a year ago I met someone who works with Aaron. When I told him that I knew Aaron he told me that Aaron was amazing at turning low performing and technically laggard employees into high performers. I asked Aaron to speak about this superpower of his.

Our GenAI Journey. Blake Wilcox, Associate Vice President of Software Delivery of Tab Bank. Blake has a great story on his approach to GenAI solutions and what he has learned. This is really good, topical and timely content.

Executive Dashboards – A Working Session. Earlier this week my third Flash Talker let me know that he had an emergency and could not participate. So, at the last minute and as a poor substitute, you get Niel Nickolaisen (me). Over the past few months I have done a number of sessions with IT leaders on their executive dashboards. For our Flash Talk meeting I am going to work through an example of a starting point and how we revised the dashboard to be more on-target, consumable and, frankly, less embarrassing for the IT leaders involved. This will be a short working / participatory session and could be, for the first time in my life, something useful from me.
