The AIM Lunch will start at 11:45 am and we hope you can participate! We expect the meeting to last 60-90 minutes and many of your peers will be participating!
Our Topic: The Power of Strategic Influence
Our AIM Lunch meeting on Thursday, October 13th features best-selling author Gary Laney talking about influential leadership. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting will end prior to 1:00 p.m.
In our IT leadership roles we often (mostly?) do not have positional authority in our roles. In our interactions with other departments, other members of the executive team, our bosses, board members, et cetera we need to exert influential authority. I have found that working to master the practices and characteristics of influential leadership is a key to the success of my departments and our projects and priorities.
In this session, Gary Laney will describe the competencies of leadership and focus on several of the elements of influential leadership. As a bonus, the first 70 who register for this event will get a copy of Gary’s best-selling book “The Power of Strategic Influence”
