Dear AIM Utah Members:

You are invited to our next AIM General Membership Luncheon!

The AIM Lunch will start at 11:45 am and we hope you can participate! We expect the meeting to last 60-90 minutes and many of your peers will be participating!

Our Topic: The Power of Peopletivity

It is our pleasure to announce that we have arranged for Carl Sokia – one of the most engaging and thoughtful people I have ever known – to speak at our November 10th AIM Lunch Meeting. Carl is passionate about the employee experience and improving employee engagement. These are critical issues as the research shows that employee engagement is near historical lows. In parallel, one of the best ways we can attract and retain critical staff is to create a culture that is human-centric. As Peter Drucker said, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” Given that, this is a meeting you must attend.

Our speaker is Carl Sokia

At our meeting Carl will present:

The Power of Peopletivity

In the future of work, technology and automation will continue to push our workplaces into a much more efficient environment – leaving organizations to focus on the most important contributor to business success: The Human Experience. In this keynote address, Carl Sokia will discuss an area of our workplace which needs our immediate attention – an enhanced focus on Peopletivity.

Carl’s Biography

Founder and CEO, Experience Management Solutions

A Figure-It-Outer and self-described Experience Evangelist focused on the Human Experience, Carl Sokia started his career in the hospitality industry as an airport shuttle driver for a small hotel. His contagious positivity, commitment to customer service and innate leadership ability led to his rapid ascent as a thought leader creating successful development, engagement, and customer service initiatives, overseeing the Human Resources and People Operations functions for luxury resort properties across the United States, including the St. Regis, Waldorf Astoria and Grand America Hotel and Resort brands. Aside from embarking on his current entrepreneurial journey with Experience Management Solutions, Carl has most recently served as Chief Human Experience Officer and Founding Team Member at the Farmington-based SaaS Startup, Life Engineering.

Carl has received global performance awards, including Utah Business Magazine’s distinguished Forty Under 40 award (2019) and the Human Resources Business Professional of the Year (2020) and recently served as president of the largest professional HR organization in Utah, Salt Lake SHRM. He is also host of “Carl and Friends: A Human Experience Podcast”, which is dedicated to the understanding of how personal experiences impact the way we see the world.
