Leadership Development Institute (LDI)
Influential Leadership for Technical Professionals
Think about the leaders who move work forward without relying on authority.
They create trust, bring clarity to competing priorities, and help teams make decisions, even when accountability is shared.
Today, many technical professionals are expected to lead across teams, influence outcomes, and take ownership before they’re given formal authority. When leaders don’t have the tools to do this well, execution slows, escalation increases, and leadership bottlenecks form.
The AIM Utah Leadership Development Institute (LDI) develops technical leaders who are effective without relying on position. Leaders who strengthen execution, earn trust, and move work forward in complex environments.
LDI is a three-session, cohort-based program focused entirely on influential leadership.
What They’ll learn, and apply
Through instruction, discussion, and real-world practice, participants learn how to:
-
Clarify and intentionally shape their personal leadership brand
-
Influence peers, leaders, and teams without relying on title
-
Build trust and accountability that strengthen execution
-
Navigate difficult conversations and decisions with confidence
-
Recognize and act on everyday opportunities to lead, regardless of role
Participants leave with practical tools they can apply immediately, increasing their effectiveness, credibility, and readiness for broader responsibility.
Program Structure
LDI is delivered across three in-person sessions. Each session builds on the previous one, developing self-awareness, influence, and leadership effectiveness over time.
